DocuShare fails and TCP port used by IMQBroker is blocked
 
If the Notification Service stops responding or seems to be hung, attempt to determine the cause and correct the problem before attempting to stop or kill the process. Use the dsservice and diagtool commands to check the status and retry or flush the IMQ Notification Queues.

If a restart of DocuShare fails because the TCP port used by IMQBroker is blocked, a failed IMQBroker process could be in a unresponsive state. The unresponsive process needs to be removed before DocuShare is restarted.
 
Email Notifications Are Not Being Sent Out / Not Working

A limitation in the Workflow service prevents this when the email contains more then 1000 characters.

Subscription Notifications and Content Rules are not tiggered when a Comment is added to a Weblog.
This is a known issue in v.5.00.0x and 6.00.00. This will be corrected in a future release.

If workflow emails are not sending but notification emails are not sending.  Then the value specified for the SMTP server in the dscommon.properties file and dw.xml might not match.
